1 arrested after reported bank robbery on southeast side
INDIANAPOLIS — One person is in custody after a reported robbery on Thursday morning at a bank on the southeast side of Indianapolis.
According to officials with the Indiana State Police and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, a reported robbery occurred at a bank near the intersection of Southeastern Avenue and Northeastern Avenue at around 7:52 a.m. Thursday.
IMPD confirmed with FOX59/CBS4 that suspects robbed a Brinks armored vehicle. The vehicle took off west on Washington Street from the bank.
Officials said one person is in custody and law enforcement are searching for two additional individuals who were reportedly involved in the robbery. The two additional suspects left the scene in another car.
