1 killed, 1 injured in shooting on Indy’s northeast side
INDIANAPOLIS – Police are investigating after a woman was killed, and a second person was injured in a shooting on Indy’s northeast side Saturday morning.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just before 3:30 a.m., officers were called to the 4100 block of Edgemere Court on the report of a disturbance.
When officers arrived, they located a woman with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. She was pronounced deceased on scene, according to police.
Investigators say two vehicles were seen speeding off from the area after the shooting.
Police say one of those cars arrived at Community Hospital East with a second gunshot victim. That person was reported to be in stable condition, according to investigators.
There is still no word on the location of the other car, police say.
