3 injured in multi-vehicle crash on I-70 WB in Hancock County
HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. — Authorities are on the scene of a crash that sent three people to the hospital in the westbound lanes of I-70 Monday night.
According to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded shortly after 8:30 p.m. to I-70 WB near mile marker 102.6 after receiving reports of a multi-vehicle crash occurring in the area.
HCSO said three individuals were transported to Methodist Hospital for medical treatment. As of this article’s publication, HCSO has not confirmed the extent of their injuries or the exact number of vehicles that were involved.
The westbound lanes of I-70 are currently closed as crews remain on the scene.
A construction crew blocked off traffic on I-70 WB from the 101-mile marker to create space for first responders to arrive on the scene, HCSO said.
