Janice Bradley Obituary – Rockford Register Star
Janice (Jan) L. Bradley, 65, of Scales Mound, IL, formerly of Rockford, died at home on April 5 after a 2.5-year battle with cancer.
She was born on May 17, 1956 in Rockford, daughter of Marvin and Ledora (Hoppe) Williams. She married Richard J. Bradley of Rockford in 1987. They shared 35 years together.
Jan retired from Rockford Mercy Health System after more than 20 years of service as a Certified Professional Coder.
Jan was a loving person and devoted to her family. As her children grew up, their friends always had a safe place to go if they needed it. She was known for her big smile and cheerful personality. Jan was an avid reader and a huge fan of Harry Potter and Outlander. Jan was also an animal lover and had many dogs during her life; Jocko, Precious, Ebony, Jada and Goober.
Surviving are her husband, Richard: 4 children, Heather Bradley of Englewood Colorado, Charles (Chuck) Bradley of Englewood Colorado, Nicholas (Nick) Bradley of Rockford, Kelli Bradley of Rockford, and Mother Ledora Williams of Schapville, IL, two brothers and sisters: Dean (Janet) Williams and Ruth (Eugene) Amenda and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Williams and eldest brother Thomas Williams.
Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, April 10 at City Hall in Scales Mound, Il, 802 Main Street, 61075. 11am-4pm. Lunch will be provided. The Miller-Steinke Funeral Home of Scales Mound serves the family.
Memorials go to the family and some go to Hospice or Dubuque for their amazing support through this difficult time.
