Husband, wife found shot dead in their Richmond home
RICHMOND, Ind. — A husband and wife are dead after police arrived at their Richmond home on Thursday afternoon and found both dead from gunshot wounds.
According to the Richmond Police Department, officers were called to the home in the 800 block of S. 6th Street shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Police said inside the home were the bodies of 62-year-old Carl R. Mullen and his wife, 48-year-old Laura A. Mullen. Both were declared deceased at the scene and were found to have gunshot wounds, police said.
Police said the couple’s deaths are considered an isolated incident and do not believe there is any threat to the community.
An investigation into the deaths remains ongoing.
