Police investigating armed robbery at Lawrenceburg casino
DEARBORN COUNTY, Ind. — Police in Lawrenceburg are investigating an armed robbery of a casino.
Dearborn County Sheriff Shane McHenry reported that an investigation is ongoing after officers were dispatched to the Hollywood Casino on a report of an armed robbery.
McHenry indicated that a male subject fled the scene of the robbery before later being located in river bottoms just east of the casino. Indiana police were assisted by officers from Boone, County, Kentucky.
The Kentucky officers utilized a drone to help Indiana police locate the subject.
McHenry reported that the robbery did result in some injuries, though he could not confirm how many people were injured. The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office is also unsure exactly how people were injured during the incident.
