MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. — Part of State Road 42 in Morgan County will close starting next week.
According to a press release from the Indiana Department of Transportation, road resurfacing and asphalt patching will begin on or after April 9.
The project will shut down SR 42 between Wellman and Everett roads. INDOT’s detour around the construction will take drivers on State Road 39 and State Road 142.
Construction is expected to last through late fall, weather-permitting. While the project is in progress, INDOT encourages motorists to seek alternate routes and avoid speeding and distracted driving near work sites.
