Sunny skies to kick off Father’s Day weekend

Good morning ahead of Father’s Day weekend! Storms that arrived overnight have finally left Central Indiana but, it is still humid across the state. Throughout the day, dew points will start to subside and pleasant air will filter in. Highs today will be warm, so if you’re heading to Zoobilation or the state baseball championships, apply the sunscreen!

It will be a comfy and warm Saturday with highs in the mid-80s. Expect to see plenty of sun tomorrow and dew points will be dry. Humidity returns on Father’s Day and highs will climb back into the low 90s.

Next week will be the hottest air of the year with possible record highs. The forecasted high on Monday is 96 and the record is 95 set back in 1913. Humidity will also be high with feels-like temps near the 100° mark.
