IMPD makes changes to outbound traffic pattern for Saturday night Swift show
INDIANAPOLIS — Following a successful first night of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour stop in Indianapolis, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department announced a series of changes to the outbound traffic pattern that will take place Saturday night.
According to IMPD, these changes only apply to outbound traffic and will begin around 11 p.m.
- West St and Washington St. – No southbound traffic. Southbound traffic will be diverted to westbound Washington St.
- West St and Maryland St. – No southbound or eastbound traffic at Maryland St. All traffic will be diverted northbound on West St.
- Washington St. and Schumacher Way – The White River State Park parking lot will be directed to westbound Washington St. IMPD added that there will be no southbound traffic onto Schumacher to Maryland St.
- SB West St at I-70 westbound – traffic will be forced onto I-70 westbound only.
- Madison Ave and McCarty St. – Southbound only on Madison Ave.
IMPD said that rideshare staging at 10 p.m. will not change, and the pickup locations will remain the same. Those locations can be viewed here.
Two of these changes were made last night and were successful, IMPD said. They did not specify whether the changes will apply to Swift’s Sunday show as well.
