Lafayette police searching for ‘person of interest’ in domestic incident
LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Lafayette police are searching for a person of interest who reportedly left a domestic incident with two children Wednesday.
The Lafayette Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in finding 27-year-old Sheldon Holmes, who police believe was allegedly involved in a domestic incident in the 1400 block of S. 3rd Street.
The incident involved an adult female, a 2-month-old and a 5-year-old. LPD said Holmes allegedly left the area with the two children amid the child custody matter.
LPD said Holmes is believed to be driving a white Nissan Rogue with Indiana license plate 148BSC.
LPD reassured the public that it does not believe at this time that the children are missing or are in any immediate danger.
