IMPD: 1 injured after shots fired into far east side home
INDIANAPOLIS – Police are investigating after someone fired shots into a home, sending one to the hospital on Indy’s far east side Sunday morning.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just before 1 a.m., officers responded to a home in the 1600 block of Moores Court, near East 21st Street and German Church Road.
When officers arrived, they found someone had fired into a residence from outside, hitting a female victim. Investigators say the victim was stable.
A police report lists parents or guardians were at the home when the incident took place. The same report indicates officers found shell casings from at least two different guns, and several cars hit by gunfire.
No word on any suspects.
