1 dead, 2 hurt in crash on Indy’s northwest side
INDIANAPOLIS – Police are investigating after one person was killed and two others were hurt in a crash on Indy’s northwest side Friday night.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just before 11:30 p.m., officers responded to the 3800 block of North Michigan Road on the report of personal injury crash.
When officers arrived, they found that a sedan and pickup truck had collided. The driver of the sedan was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver and the passenger in the pickup truck were transported to an area hospital in serious condition.
Investigators say one of the vehicles attempted to turn when the other vehicle traveling straight collided with the other.
No other information was made available.
A blood draw will be administered to the driver of the pickup trick, which is department procedure in a fatal, or serious bodily injury crash.
