Pedestrian injured in hit-and-run crash on near east side of Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS — A pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run crash on the east side of Indianapolis Saturday night.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the intersection of East Washington Street and North Rural Street on a report of a crash involving a pedestrian around 7:20 p.m. When police arrived at the scene, they located an adult female who appeared to have been struck by a vehicle.

The woman was transported from the scene to a local hospital. As of 7:45 p.m., IMPD had not provided an update on the woman’s condition.
Police reported that the motorist who allegedly struck the pedestrian fled the scene after the crash.
As of this article’s publication, IMPD had not provided a description of the driver or vehicle allegedly involved in the crash.
