Steve Martin, Martin Short to perform ‘The Dukes of Funnytown!’ in Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS — Hoosiers will soon have the opportunity to see Steve Martin and Martin Short perform at a downtown Indianapolis venue.
According to a Live Nation news release, the two comedy legends are bringing their show “The Dukes of Funnytown!” to the Murat Theatre at Old National Centre on Oct. 25. The show is being produced by Live Nation.
“Their humor is often subversive, but it is always a joyous self-deprecating romp from two comedy masters driven to make each other laugh as much as the audience,” the Live Nation news release said. “The jokes come at you at a rapid-fire pace with little set-up and big punch lines as they mock Hollywood and the fickle nature of celebrity, but the comedy truly soars when they lovingly (and relentlessly) roast each other.”
The celebrities, who have been friends for over three decades, have been touring and performing live comedy shows together for the last 10 years. Martin and Short have been developing their comedic timing since 1986 when they met for the first time on the set of “Three Amigos.”
Ticket presales for the show will begin on March 5 at 10 a.m. and general tickets will go on sale starting on March 7 at 10 a.m. at LiveNation.com.
