2 injured in County Line Road crash in Greenwood

GREENWOOD, Ind. – An investigation is underway after two people were injured in a two-car crash in Greenwood Friday night.

According to the Greenwood Fire Department, shortly after 10 p.m., crews responded to a crash with entrapment near the intersection of North Emerson Avenue & County Line Road.

Callers reported that a Jeep had flipped over and that an occupant was unable to exit the vehicle. When crews arrived on scene, they located a person whose arm was pinned between the vehicle’s door and the ground, preventing them from extricating themselves.

Fire crews used to two spreaders to lift the Jeep off the ground, which allowed the victim to free themselves. They were tended to by medics, then transported to an area hospital for treatment.

A second victim from the other vehicle involved was also transported to an area hospital for treatment, according to GFD.

No additional information was released. The incident remains under investigation.
