Jackson County Sheriff’s Department arrests man who allegedly killed his own father
JACKSON COUNTY, Ind. — The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department has arrested a man who allegedly killed his own father.

According to a press release, 28-year-old Robert W.D. Fox of Norman, Indiana, was detained by police around 4:50 p.m. Saturday. Police believe Fox shot and killed his father, 76-year-old Larry D. Fox of Norman, on Jan. 30.
Previous reporting on the shooting indicates Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 11000 block of West 325 North near Norman around 9 p.m. on Jan. 30. When police arrived at the scene, they located two men with apparent gunshot wounds.
Larry Fox was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim had been shot in the arm and was subsequently transported from the scene to a local hospital after the shooting.
Police did not name the second victim in their first press release on the shooting, but they did describe the victim as a 28-year-old from Norman. JCSD did not identify the second shooting victim in their latest press release either.
Fox was booked at the Jackson County Jail on Saturday. He has been preliminarily charged with murder.
