Crews respond to fire on Indy’s far east side; 6 people displaced

INDIANAPOLIS – A fire on the far east side displaced six people.

Indianapolis Fire Department crews were dispatched around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday to the 10200 block of Penrith Drive.

Firefighters saw flames and smoke shooting from the top of the building when they arrived.

IFD said four units were affected, with five adults and a child being displaced.

The fire remains under investigation.
