Fatal crash in Morgan County

UPDATE 11:54 a.m.: Preliminary investigation from the MCSO reveals that the victim was a woman walking westbound in the westbound lane of SR 252, about two feet into the roadway. The driver who hit the victim did not see her in the road.

Per the MSCO, the pedestrian did not have any identification and still remains unidentified. She was described as a white woman wearing black clothes, in her late twenties to early thirties and having a haircut that’s close on the sides and longer on top. MCSO also said she has star tattoos behind her right ear, as well as a lion tattoo on her left forearm.

MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. — The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash that occurred early Saturday morning.

According to a press release from the Morgan County Coroner’s Office, MCSO officers, EMS and Morgantown Volunteer Fire Department were called around 4:42 a.m. to the 6500 block of State Road 252, on the report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, the pedestrian was pronounced dead on-scene.

The victim has not yet been identified. The cause of the crash also remains under investigation.
