Fire in Lawrence damages 3 homes, displaces 2 families
LAWRENCE, Ind. — Three homes were damaged by a fire in Lawrence Sunday morning.
Public emergency reporting systems indicate crews were first dispatched to the 5700 block of Glass Chimney Lane around 12:06 a.m. According to a Lawrence Fire Department spokesperson, a two-story house was the first structure to catch on fire. The blaze then spread to two other houses in the area.
Two families were displaced by the fire. Those families are currently receiving assistance from the Red Cross, per LFD.
No injuries were reported after the incident. The cause of the fire has not yet been announced.
