Hendricks County inmate caught after trying to flee work release center
DANVILLE, Ind. — Danville police detained an inmate who reportedly fled from authorities while participating in a county work program on Tuesday.
The Danville Metropolitan Police Department confirmed in a post on Facebook Tuesday afternoon that police detained an inmate who was reportedly caught attempting to flee the Hendricks County Work Release Center on foot.

Officers pursued the inmate before eventually catching up to him and detaining him in a wooded area south of Danville Fire Station 192, which is located at 76 N. Kentucky Street. The Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office also assisted.
