IMPD: 18-year-old shot on Indy’s west side

INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis metro police are investigating after a person was injured in a shooting on the city’s west side Thursday night.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called around 8:43 p.m. to the 8800 block of Timberwood Drive in response to reports that a person was shot in the area.

IMPD said officers arrived and located an 18-year-old male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was last reported to be in stable condition, according to IMPD. As of this article’s publication, IMPD has not provided a suspect description.
