IMPD: 2 injured in shooting on near west side of Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS — Two people were injured in a shooting on the near west side of Indianapolis Sunday night.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 3600 block of West 10th Street on a report of a person shot. When police arrived at the scene, they located two victims with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
IMPD confirmed that both victims were awake and breathing when they found them. Public police reporting systems indicate officers were first dispatched to the area around 8:15 p.m.
IMPD has not announced if it has taken any suspects or persons of interest into custody at this point in its investigation. Police have not yet provided any additional details about the shooting or the circumstances that led to it.
