IMPD investigating robbery, stabbing on near east side

INDIANAPOLIS — Police investigated a reported stabbing and robbery on the near east side of Indianapolis Saturday night.

According to a public police report, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the intersection of East Michigan Street and North Sherman Drive around 8:15 p.m. on a report of a robbery. IMPD’s report on the robbery indicates police found a victim with a stab wound at the scene.

Police have not yet provided any information on the stabbing victim’s condition.

IMPD listed synthetic marijuana and $5 cash as the items that were stolen during the robbery. Law enforcement did not explicitly identify any suspects in its incident report.

The suspect was described a male in the report. It is unclear if IMPD detained any suspects or persons of interests during its investigation.
