IMPD: Juvenile shot on Indy’s southwest side
INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis metro police are investigating after a juvenile was injured in a shooting on the city’s southwest side Monday night.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched around 8:20 p.m. to the 6100 block of Old Mill Drive in response to reports that a person was possibly shot. IMPD said officers arrived on the scene and found a juvenile victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
IMPD said detectives believe the gunshot wound the juvenile sustained may have been self-inflicted.
The juvenile was immediately transported to Riley Hospital for treatment of their injuries. The victim was last reported to be in stable condition, according to IMPD.
As of this article’s publication, IMPD has not provided the victim’s gender or age.
