IMPD responds to deadly crash on northeast side
INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan police are investigating a deadly crash on the northeast side.
IMPD said officers responded to the incident around 5 a.m. Friday near North Emerson Avenue and East 46th Street.
Police confirmed a fatality and said the area would be closed for several hours for the investigation and cleanup. Drivers should seek an alternate route.
It appeared a vehicle hit a utility pole. According to the AES website, about 400 customers in the area were without power.
