INDIANAPOLIS – Police arrested a 21-year-old suspect in connection with a weekend shooting on the far east side.
Indianapolis Metropolitan police responded after 10 a.m. Sunday to an apartment in the 800 block of Belhaven Place.
According to a police report, they found a woman had been shot at that location.
The investigation led to the arrest of a 21-year-old man on a preliminary charge of battery with a deadly weapon.
The incident report said police recovered a gun from the scene. The shooting remains under investigation.
