INDOT announces lane, ramp closures on I-465 southbound near Lawrence, thin deck overlay on I-65 over Lick Creek
INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Transportation announced a series of lane closures on Friday that are heading to I-465 southbound near Lawrence, as well as I-65 over Lick Creek bridge.
The three left lanes of I-465 southbound from 56th St. to U.S. 36 will be closed at the following times:
- Between 9 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday
- Between 9 p.m. Thursday and 6 a.m. Friday
- Between 9 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9.
INDOT said the lane restrictions are intended to restore pavement, as well as safely complete bridge deck patching and joint repairs.
In addition, INDOT announced crews are working on a thin deck overlay on I-65 over Lick Creek bridge. This will result in the following closures:
- On or after Friday, Sept. 6 at 9 p.m.: The left two lanes of I-65 northbound between I-465 and Keystone Ave. and the I-465 westbound to I-65 northbound ramp will be closed.
- Between Saturday, Sept. 7 and Sunday, Sept. 8: A single right lane on I-465 northbound between I-465 and Keystone Ave. will be closed.
- Between Sunday, Sept. 8 and Monday, Sept. 9 at 6 a.m.: The left two lanes of I-65 northbound between I-465 and Keystone Ave. will be closed. The ramp heading from I-465 westbound to I-65 northbound will be closed through that Monday at 6 a.m. as well.
INDOT also added that all of the work that will be completed is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
