INDOT: Bridge reopens after Crash causes I-69 to be closed in Madison County

Officials with the Indiana State Police said that I-69 at the 214 mile marker has been reopened after Friday morning’s crash. INDOT engineers have cleared the bridge as safe.

MADISON COUNTY, Ind. — A person is injured after a semi-truck hit a bridge at the intersection of I-69 and State Road 13, according to officials with the Indiana State Police.

At around 9:02 a.m. on Friday, officials with the Indiana Department of Transportation said that I-69 is closed in both directions at the 214 mile marker because of a crash.

Officials said that traffic is diverting off State Road 13 and then back on I-69.

According to officials from the Indiana State Police on social media, a semi-truck reportedly collided with the overpass bridge support, resulting in a full closure of the interstate.
