Juvenile shot during underage party on Indy’s east side
INDIANAPOLIS – Police are investigating after a teenage boy was shot during an underage party Saturday night on Indy’s east side.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just after 11:30 p.m., officers were called to the 9100 block of East 13th Street on the report of shots fired.
When officers arrived, they located a teenage boy with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital in stable condition, according to police.
Investigators say an underage party was taking place when the shooting occurred. Detectives say several juveniles who attended the party fled the scene before officers arrived.
Investigators say a weapon was found at the scene, but did not release any information on a possible suspect.
