Lawrence North student arrested for bringing gun to school
INDIANAPOLIS — A Lawrence North High School student was arrested for allegedly bringing a gun to school, according to police reports.
The 15-year-old male minor was charged with Possession of a Firearm on School Property and Possession of a Dangerous Firearm.
The school said the following in a statement:
“Yesterday morning the weapons detection system successfully identified and prevented a gun from entering Lawrence North High School. While there was no immediate threat, the issue was addressed swiftly by security and the student in question turned over to police.”
