Man injured in shooting on near northeast side
INDIANAPOLIS – Police are investigating after a man was injured in a shooting Sunday morning on Indy’s near northeast side.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just after 12:30 a.m., officers were called to the 3400 block of North Oxford Street on the report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital in stable condition, according to police.
Authorities are still trying to determine what led up to the shooting, but they did find multiple shell casings in the street.
