Man shot, killed during disturbance on Indy’s west side

INDIANAPOLIS – Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed during a disturbance early Saturday morning on Indy’s west side.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just after 1:30 a.m., officers were called to the Maple Creek Village Apartments in the 3800 block of West Michigan Street on the report of a person shot.

When officers arrived, they located an adult male with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced on scene, according to police.

Police say a disturbance among several individuals took place in the parking lot of the apartment complex before the shooting.
