Naked Indianapolis man leads police on foot chase, arrested
BARGERSVILLE, Ind. — An Indianapolis man was arrested after allegedly parading around naked and leading police on a chase in the Bargersville community.
David Messer was charged with the following:
- Theft
- Resisting Law Enforcement
- Unlawful Entry of a Motor Vehicle
- Disorderly Conduct
Officers from the Bargersville Police Department were dispatched on Monday at approximately 6:11 a.m. to the area of Enclave Boulevard on a report of a theft-in-progress.
Upon arrival, officers found the vehicle with a man inside. Officers ordered the suspect out of the vehicle and he emerged naked. According to police, Messer appeared to be under the influence of drugs.
After he allegedly failed to comply, he led the officers on a foot chase throughout the Bargersville neighborhood. When police did finally catch him, he reportedly resisted arrest.
Messer was transported to an area hospital for treatment, and later sent to jail.
