CRAWFORD COUNTY, Ind. — A Milltown man has been arrested for murder and child molestation.
According to an Indiana State Police press release, 44-year-old Clinton J. Herman was taken into custody on Saturday.
Police began looking into Herman’s activity after the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office started investigating a homicide in Milltown. Deputies located a deceased female, who ISP later identified as Nancy Herman, during their investigation.
After an affidavit for probable cause was completed by state police, a warrant was issued for Clinton’s arrest. Police reported that they later located Clinton in Harrison County after several hours of searching.
Clinton was arrested without incident.
Nancy’s family has been notified of her death. ISP indicated that the case is still under investigation and that an autopsy is scheduled.
